I Used to Think an Extraordinary Life Was for Other People
I used to think an extraordinary life was out of reach - was unachievable for someone like me. That it was something that was reserved for those “special” people that had something I didn’t.
As I healed, grew in my understanding of myself and life as it is, and created inner stability - I started seeing outer changes as well.
I started experiencing life in a new way, where peace and joy weren’t strangers anymore, where stability didn't have to be something that could be pulled out from under me, and where I could love deeper and explore freer.
I thought an extraordinary life was made up of shiny things, amazing travel vlogs, having it all and then some. Those are all fun and enjoyable things but I learned that it’s actually made up of the capacity to be deeply who you are and where you are.
It’s not filling every moment with the next thing but filling every moment with meaning - removing what doesn’t matter so your life is filled with what does.
It’s an ongoing process, and I’ve found as I keep walking the path, the path gets more extraordinary.
My hope is that these reflections become a place where we explore that path together. Not toward a perfect life, but toward a meaningful one. A life rooted in healing, stability, connection, and the courage to become more fully ourselves.
